I have been going here since I was a kid. I love their donuts especially the donuts with odd toppings like the fruity pebbles. I still stop by on my way into work few times a month.

A true gem of South Toledo, Wixey is coming up on its 100th anniversary. From donuts to cookies to cakes and beyond, the baked goods are always incredibly fresh and beyond delicious. The staff are very friendly and accommodating as well. 10/10 every time.

Contacted Wixey’s through their website. No one contacted me so finally called when I called to place my order the lady was less than pleasant on the phone. I ordered a birthday cake with pastel colors. It did not come with pastel colors. Asked for chocolate frosting and had white frosting in the middle of the cake. I grew up on Wixie’s always have liked it and decided to try it again. My family on the other hand is not fans of Wixie. So unfortunately, I have to say this last time ordering through Wixie will probably be my last time. Hugely disappointed!

I never order cakes & safe to say, I wasn’t sure of exactly what I needed for my son’s 18th birthday. I called Wixey the week of, hoping they wouldn’t turn down the request, and they did not! Between my work schedule and Denise’s, we finally got on the phone 2 days before his birthday. Denise walked me through what was most appropriate for the party size, saved me $100 by steering me away from what I originally thought I needed and then shocked me when she offered to decorate it! I knew I was asking/ordering last minute and had originally told her I would decorate it. When I explained a musical vision, she jumped in knowing exactly what to do! She added small music notes and created a musical keyboard pattern around the top. My son was very impressed by the key pattern, as it matched keys perfectly! The cake was beautiful and incredibly good! Thank you Denise and crew for making this happen so effortlessly!
